The FINE Association has at its mission: 

• To denounce and to make genital mutilation and chemical treatments illegal in a medical setting which can be a form of forced transsexualism on young children and infants who are in good health. 
• To give advice and moral support to parents of Intersex children, assistance and emotional solidarity to those dealing with Intersex and their friends and families. 
• To promote all initiatives which foster understanding, acceptance and assistance to persons living with a natural atypical intersexed state, hermaphrodism or androgyny. That is, people who because of their phenotype have the morphological and/or psychological characteristics associated with both official sexes, male and female. 
• To ensure the representation and the defense of all victims who have been subjected to chemical and/or surgical treatments resulting in a nonconsensual, forced sex assignment to one of the two official sexes.
• To increase awareness in the media, the public at large and  among those dedicated to defending basic human rights, the political establishment at all levels and legal authorities of the reality of Intersex. 
• To make possible for Intersex person to have the right to sex reassignment if that assigned arbitrarily at birth is incorrect without any further obligation to genital mutilation or any other treatment contrary to the basic human rights of the individual. 
• To combat prejudice and exclusion, as well and its causes and results (suicide, drug addiction, alcoholism, forced prostitution, PST) of the affected population.
• To collect information of the subjects in question by all scientific and technical means available, in a humane manner.
• To encourage the development of other organizations in Europe with the same goals as FINE (Italian, German, Spanish, English, Russian, etc.) with the ultimate aim of a European confederation.

Respecting privacy

Considering the fact that the aims and mission of this association can touch upon aspects of one’s life which are private, especially the advice given parents of intersex children and to the intersexed person her/himself, the members of this association, its supporters and all those who help the association and who might come in contact with information concerning privacy issues, are bound to respect the privacy implicit in all medical information.  In order to ensure that privacy is respected, each member of the association, every person accepting advice, as well and any person who collaborates with the association is free to use a pseudonym.

Activism

FINE’s activism consists of addressing national and international authorities and holding meetings, lectures, conventions, seminars, training by means of thought provoking discussions and analyses, organizing demonstrations, publishing bulletins, documents and books in any media available both in Europe and internationally.

Head quarters

The headquarters is by necessity to remain in the Republic of Geneva, world capital of human rights for both the individual and oppressed minorities.

Feminist orientation and independance

This association holds the patriarchal anti-feminist social establishment responsible for having enshrined laws and customs which arbitrarily separate us into two sexes and genders in spite of the scientific evidence that intersexuality in plants, animals and human beings is a universal reality of nature expressed on a continuum without boundaries between female and male, inseparable, with shades and nuances in between. 

An moreover, during foetal development, human beings are all basically female with virilisation occurring only later to varying degrees as a result of hormones and also “virilisation” and “feminisation”, both physical and psychological are further exaggerated by one’s upbringing and the culture controlled by the patriarchal society, even violently imposed by chemical treatments and genital mutilation of innocent children who are in good health whose only wrong is not having conformed to the phonotypical norms of patriarchal fundamentalism.
Therefore, the association declares resolutely that it is feminist and collaborates with organisations working for a gentler and more peaceful civilisation based on absolute respect of the laws of life and nature. That is, without divisions between people who are more or less masculine or feminine, only seeing them as equal human beings necessitating no segregation.
The association affirms its independence from all political, communitarian, religious, cultural and philosophical orientations.

The association hopes to be sponsored by outstanding members from the medical and scientific community, feminist sites and organisations, intersex organisations from all countries and associations which defend human rights.
