Edith has been named as FINE's spokesperson for Belgium and Luxemburg. Edith is also a feminist activist who has been involved in defending human rights for years. FINE is very grateful to Edith for having accepted this responsibility and for her willingness to share her many talents with us. 
It is important to emphasize thatFINE is not an organization reserved just for people who were born intersexed. FINE is very supportive of all of us who are convinced that sexism is one of the main sources of the inhumanity of this world. Because of their being ignored by the general public, and because they are particularly revealing of the true nature of patriarchal sexism's need to demand "normalization", ritualized medical genital mutilation of intersexed children should be denounced first and foremost. They are as scandalous and contrary to the most fundamental human rights of an individual, as are ritual genital mutilations. 

Sexism = inhumanity. Without going into long, complicated analyses, one can draw the following conclusions: the more a society represses femininity in all its forms the more it produces sexually obsessed maniacs, violent madmen, terrorists, fundamentalists. It is because society is repressing the natural diversity and is unbalanced. (Feminine) Yin and (male) Yang are inseparable, complementary. Yin and Yang are made to love each other and not to destroy or despise the other. To understand and to apply this age-old wisdom is more necessary than ever for humanity itself is at the risk of self-destruction. Both the souls and the flesh of the intersexed are martyred by the sexist barbarians as concrete symbols of the union of the Yin and the Yang for love and peace. 

By applying this very simple philosophy of love and tolerance, groups such as FINE are self regulated by forming networks of friendship and human kindness which is what is most important. Each individual has the right to express clearly and freely their difference. Each of us has the duty to listen to the others by respecting their differences. There is no obligations involved for official membership.You are free to propose and to choose what you want to do or not to do within the framework of FINE's goals and overall mission. By participating with FINE, which is a partner of the Organisation Intersex International, you will sow the seeds for a radically better world.You will be proud to be one of its pioneers.
